1 License Overview
1.1 Introduction to Licenses
License refers to the legal permission granted by New H3C Technology Co., Ltd. to users to use specific software functions.

Refer to the Product License Support document to check which software functions need to be authorized before you can use them, and then select the license to install based on your business requirements.

1.2 License Type
Depending on the license usage scenario, license authorization is divided into pre-authorization, temporary authorization, and formal authorization. Support for pre-authorized and temporary licenses varies from product to product; The validity period of different licenses varies, as detailed in the Product License Support documentation.

1. Pre-Authorization
In order to allow you to try out the software functions that need to be licensed at the beginning of the device, the license of such software functions has been installed at the factory, and such authorization is called pre-authorization.

Pre-authorization has the following characteristics:

·     The device is carried at the factory and can be used when it is turned on.

·     Pre-authorization does not support authorized installation, uninstallation, and migration operations.

·     Pre-authorizations are time-bound. If you still need to use the software functions after the expiration of the pre-license, please purchase and install the official license to avoid affecting the continued use of the software functions.
